That is decidedly unAmerican and an embarrassment, and its being perpetuated by a former Reaganite. Why am I not surprised! You guys continue to miss the point. You don't have a "right" not to be penalized for stating your views. You have a right to not be put in prison for your views alone. The government did not prevent them from speaking on behalf of the Hall of Fame, therefore no rights were violated! Actually, I think its you who has missed the point. Mr. Petroskey is accusing Sarandon and Robbins of the same thing that Arnett was accused of........"undermining the US position" in this war, stopping just short of calling their acts treasonous. On that basis, he disinvited them to the event. Not only is such behavior morally and socially reprehensible, its illegal if the Hall of Fame or its building gets one dollar of public monies. The right may stand on principle and win on this one but they will lose in the court of public opinion. There are consequences for your actions. If you spew a bunch of un-patriotic garbage and you happen to be a country music singer, you should not be surprised if your market share goes down. If you are some other type of musician, your market share may improve after those comments. Yes, remember your statement if and when the right goes down in flames in an upcoming election. Don't try to sell it that your opponents tricked the electorate. The right's anal compulsive behavior gets old after a while. ted
