What the left did in the Soviet Union is not really relevant to a discussion about politics in the U.S. The terms left and right are relative, and their application within different contexts should not be inferred to mean that the groups of people to whom the terms are applied share the same views.

Franco was considered to be on the right, but I doubt that you'd like people claiming that the American right would have supported his politics.

Finally, your judgments about the people in the peace marches, based on their faces, are shallow, meaningless, and without merit.
