I disagree. Kerry served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He and millions of others are heros. Anyone who volunteers, or allows himself to be drafted and did not run off to Canada in wartime is a hero.

My brother was drafted in 1969 and never saw Vietnam. He was lucky. But he followed his orders. He would have gone to Vietnam if those were his orders. That makes him and Kerry heroes.

I will not vote for Kerry, but give the guy credit that he is due.

Since when it it more heroic to be captured than to lead your squad to victory, take three bullets and wipe out the enemy? The rescued POW's are heros too but Silver Star winners are few and far between.
