Steeliejim,

Nice to hear from you, how's the steelhead fishing going?

I didn't MEAN to steer off into political discussions, I was just waiting for some thoughtful person who had thrown up a parade of horribles to finally admit that it has been one hell of a campaign, that 25 million Iraqis might just prefer freedom to Saddam the Monster, but there was such a dreadful quiet.

As for WMD, why do you think Saddam didn't have them? He had them in 1989 when he gassed the Kurds and the Iranians (I think that's right), and we know he had some sort of a nuclear program going. Since he never came up with any evidence of destruction, and these things don't destroy themselves, the assumption is that they are still there. It's a big country.

Even Dan Rather got into the act tonight; touring a huge prison/torture complex 18 miles east of Baghdad.

Gotta hop, dinner's being called.
