"It's surely a coincidence, one specific parallel, but it's a striking one." Please PM me with it sometime so that I may appreciate it. <g> "Do you have siblings, Solon? It seems funny that I don't know that." I am the fifth of ten children...all living. My mom died at 49. My step-mom died a few years ago; and my dad is 81. So there is surely much grief ahead for me unless I go first. But perhaps I will learn the wisdom that comes with age. When my uncle died in Vancouver recently, and my dad was in Arizona he responded to a query re the funeral with: "Why should I go to his funeral? He isn't coming to mine?!" Well..he did go to his brother's funeral...but it was only a social gesture. Grief and honour do not require formality.
