The Reform Party and then the Alliance were around before Bush got into power and were stating their own policies. I am an Alliance member and I like the policy of Bush and the USA on Iraq and Syria. Are you really saying that Harper should oppose Bush because he should not be slavishly agreeing with the Bush doctrine? Are you really saying that Chretien is correct? There are after all only two policies. Chretien's way, on the fence, or Bush let's go get them after allowing the UN 6 months to go get them.
I read that one reason that Chretien was against supporting Bush was to improve the fortune of the Liberal Party in the Quebec election, well that worked.
