Thank you, Rock. Fwiw, I strongly support the rights of individuals to organize and unionize. And I also know from personal experience that American ingenuity and ambition is second only to volunteerism and charity if we don't have to spend so much time and money supporting a huge and wasteful bureaucracy. I can buy a history book for $10 and give it to a kid; I can let the Los Angeles Unified School District go through its motions and a few months later that same kid will have a history book courtesy of my property taxes for about $20; I can let Governor Davis increase my income taxes and sell bonds to give LAUSD more money to buy that same book 6-12 months later at a cost of $30-$40; or if I feel particularly rich I can let the Feds go through the Department of Education to give the State of California money and instructions for the LAUSD to give that same kid (now at least two years older) that same history book for about $50-$100. I honestly can't wait until I'm wealthy enough to be able to afford an agency of the United Nations to pile on another few layers of cost to that same $10 book--MK--
