How about remembering Enron and Bushies ripped Calif off for 20 billion? Before you go criticizing Davis for having to raise taxes. And look at GOP Texas. They're almost as much in the red under GOP rule even though they were the beneficiaries of the energy ripoffs. Maybe they dont tax their energy companies windfall profits. If not they should, and they wouldn't have to be closing hospitals and cutting back on education and health care now. I know an LA school teacher and she works very hard and really cares about the kids. Before you criticize, you should go down and see for youself how hard the teachers work. Not an easy job. Bushie attacks on public schools is really just racist. You know it and I know it. Because "public" these days is another word for "mostly minority".
