Martin Kramer has some interesting stuff on his site, including an account of Edward Said's recent rockstar lecture, and some thoughts on Orientalism at a quarter century.

Thanks, Nadine. I hope he is right about the younger generation of scholars coming up, who reject Said. One thing I have learned here over the last year is the depths of the destruction of the American ME depts by these old Tenured Radicals.

I just laughed my way through the "New York Times" Thursday Editorial, called "North Korea Blinks."They are happy that NK is coming to the table, without one word about the fact that it was the Admin's stubbornness that forced them there. I remember them castigating the Admin for not dealing directly with the NK when this crisis broke. So two-faced!
