Because, they don't care about the common man. People just don't get it. I don't know how many things the Republicans have to do to screw the common man before people figure that out? Making it harder for them to file for bankruptcy and taking away the long standing tradition of time and one-half overtime, doesn't do anything to help the common man. Sure, it helps the Republicans rich cronies. How much money do people need to be happy anyway? The human drive for money is amazing. Rich people aren't necessarily happy people. I know from experience.
