Hi Kumar. IMHO You have something in what you said, but remember that the Brits have a tradition and experience in controlling other nations and civilian population: India, China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Middle East, Ireland etc. We can not expect an american GI , trained for military action to have the Instruction and know how of controlling and policing civilian population, they are armed and trained with very offensive weapons and even if they would like to do a police work they are not trained and not equipped with: shotguns, tear gas, shields, water canons etc. It is very dangerous in any nation to use the army for Civilian policing
