if the American troops would have shot looters we would have had the whole Arab and Islamic world screaming

Well, they killed at least 7 or so this morning. What's the big deal? Huh?

we would have had the whole Arab and Islamic world screaming that they are murderess, conquerors, imperialist and all such goodies, remember that most in mankind are not grateful and specially in the Middle East and specially not towards the American people.

I've been meaning to remind people, the depths of Arab distrust, even hatred, of the United States over its support for Israel has personally shaken me. I dare say, with this kind of dominant 'life-view' in the Middle East, many Iraqis are having great difficulty accepting the Americans in their midst and as their de facto government. Their relationship to Israel has not changed at all IMO.

Think about their lifelong perceptions when you see the anger boiling up on TV. Old habits die hard.
