The difference is the presence of Pakistan. An external threat, whether real or perceived, complicates things.

I'm sure there are huge numbers of cordial relations stories, and I don't underestimate their importance. I just see some signs that look disturbing.

Of course if you read this thread a lot, you'll know I see disturbing signs in lots of places. I'm a bit the pessimist, I admit.

180M muslims in India amongs a total population of 1B.

Do you REALISTICALLY think any country would allow 18% of its population to be infiltrators from another country ??
