Africa the oldest colony how come that

The British didn't have their first colonies in Africa. They were mostly 19th century acquisitions.

Although the British were racist, race wasn't that important to them. Class was the important thing and for them class is what you do.

wasnt it a racist problem of not giving the Black People the same Rights, Education, Rule of Law, institutions, etc as they did with other nations?

No. Apart from South Africa the big bucks were in India so that's where the big effort went. The African development was mostly following the same pattern but happened later.

They just didn't have the institutions embedded as long so the tribal aspect of things hadn't yet been faded out. Also their economies were wrecked by socialist and marxist nonsense. Combination of poor economy and insecure institutions allowed older social and political forms to reestablish.

Oddly, in many of these ex colonies the inherited British law and courts have been very resistant to perversion by the often corrupt governments.

Union of South Africa is a special case and I can't explain it to myself.
