Speaking of Boone, just out of curiosity, how much more money would one make if they took performance-enhancing drugs to beef up at just the right time, say, the final year of a contract, so that their bargaining position could look that much stronger for signing a new multi-year contract, assuming that person generated an outlier season of epic proportions. Supposin' that person knew it was bad for his health and only did this one year; would their next year be much worse again, but with the guaranteed contract in place, would it matter? And would the Player's Union oppose drug testing because that would lead to lower contracts and hence lower union dues? Just wondering if they would really put health and integrity over lining their own pockets. Of course, if they did, they'd fit right in to our system, wouldn't they?
