Therein lies the rub, as they say. Just young people...trying to help, and end up being killed because of words. Young, naive', probably had a good deal of material things growing up, and wanting to spread the word (whatever that is)....and someone tosses a bomb because he/she didn't like what they said.

Wonder when people will stop "taking exception" in that way?

And for whatever it's worth, personally I view the "American fundamentalists" you referred to exactly the same as I do the "American and world extremists" that were in Seattle, destroying property and looting when the WTO was here.... Your words used seem to fit both groups to a T.

The American fundamentalists I see show a very different face than the one you see there. Much more aggressive, much more absolute in their conviction of their own rectitude, much more contemptuous of other groups. It can get pretty bizarre, especially when they start on local politics. They know absolutely nothing about it, but that doesn't stop them from declaiming.
