Locales are different of course and I may be more of a pessimist than you. But I also have worked in real estate finance for 20 years and my wife has worked in real estate appraising for 23 years and we think we are in a bubble where we could get a strong leveling off in prices if not an outright decline in values in all market areas. She works in commercial real estate valuations and they have already seen a decline in prices and they lead residential.

Nice to see someone enjoying other cultures and experiences. I enjoyed living in Germany very much partly due to these differences some of which other cultures find strange, not nice, and or 'incorrect'.
