<US soldiers won't hurt her. >

In the last several days, two Westerners, acting as human shields in Palestine, have been killed. They were doing precisely the same things Ms. Uzma is doing. Why is so hard to admit your ideological opponents can be honest, courageous, or have any positive human qualities? Why can't we get away from this constant reflexive demonization?

<she didn't have the guts to berate Saddam Hussein>

As an American citizen, she probably thinks she has more responsibility for changing the bad behavior (as she sees it) of her own government and army, than the bad behavior of foreigners.

<Ms. Uzma knows that US soldiers won't hurt her. >

CB, I think that's untrue. It would be very naive to think that they wouldn't. Of course most won't, but she'd only need to strike the wrong one, in the wrong circumstances in a moment of confusion and it would be game over. American soldiers shoot American soldiers. Mistakes and bad judgement happen.

Maybe she really doesn't understand what a malevolent gang Saddam and cronies were. That's what you get in democracies and free societies - wacky people believing and expressing all sorts of absurd ideas. Shouting their crazy ideas at people and generally being disputatious. George II understands that and boasts of it. He, as so many times, is right.

PS: The last casualty [so far] was an American killed by an American. The last enemy action casualty was Jesus Gonzalez [so far].
