I disagree here. This would be like throwing out the baby with the bathwater. The U.N. has its place and its role, and we should do whatever it takes to keep it legit.

The reason why the U.N. is becoming more useless by the day is because the trust in the organization is fading away. There is way too much self-interest going on within the member nations, and that's leading to a lot of politicking and two-faced behavior. Not only that, but the U.N. was all too accepting of useless resolutions and facades of peace and justice, all in their collective effort to pick on the big guy.

Now I believe America is in a prime position to lead the way toward restoring trust in the U.N. I agree that the U.N. should play a major role in the reconstruction of Iraq. But I don't want to see two-faced hypocrites like France and Russia rewarded for their duplicitous behavior.
