World Link TV, CH.375 on Direct TV. For those who are grown up enough to view raw news from various countries in the Middle East, this is the place to go. Right wingers won't like it, because it is not filtered and censored like the pablum that we get on our media. There are of course news stories that are propaganda from the other side, but I think that most Americans are grown up enough to see that. The Rush parrots here won't like it because it breaks away from the tunnel vision, lock step way of thinking that they are used to.

If you don't have Direct TV, the news shows can be seen here... worldlinktv.org

"and he contained North Korea for 8 years"

How is letting North Korea make NUCLEAR WEAPONS containing them? Just curious how you come to that conclusion. I think it is a good example of what an idiotic moron you are. Clinton makes a bogus deal with the help of Jimmy Carter, who allowed Americans to be held HOSTAGE for over a year which the NK's completely ignore while making NUCLEAR BOMBS, and you call that containing. This is another of MANY ITEMS that prove you to be nothing more than a paid political hack for Kerry and his idiotic bretheren.

BTW, Clinton inherited Iraq from Bush Sr. and he contained North Korea for 8 years

What an interesting choice of words! LOL.

Clinton inherited a liberated Kuwait and a ceasefire against Iraq in 1992. He also inherited a secular bull market that started in 1982 and gained momentum as Reagan/Bush and Bush/Quayle won the Cold War decisively.

Clinton squandered that inheritance, period.

His containment strategy against Iraq forced us to keep a military presence in Saudi Arabia indefinitely. This had the practical effect of increasing the social tensions inside the kingdom and radicalizing the Middle East. For instance, Saudi Arabia kicked Osama Bin Laden out of Saudi Arabia in 1991 when he started to agitate about the extended stay of our troops. He then started to build his army of suicide bombers outside Saudi Arabia.

As if that were not bad enough, Clinton's containment strategy also had the unfortunate effect of killing Iraqi civilians, further radicalizing the Arab street, helping OBL recruit more suicide bombers. In 1999 UNICEF estimated that more than 500,000 children under 5 years old died since the sanctions were imposed in 1990!

At any time during his 8-year presidency, Clinton could have weighed the cost of doing nothing against the cost of bold and decisive action to de-radicalize the Middle East, but he chose to do nothing.

At several points during his 8-year presidency, Clinton could have aborted Al Qaeda, but he chose the path of least resistance. In 1996, for example, the Sudanese government offered Osama Bin Laden on a silver platter to Clinton, but he refused because OBL didn't even have an oustanding parking ticket! The idiot actually REFUSED! The entire Middle East was radicalizing right in front of his eyes and he didn't do anything!

History is definitely not going to be kind.

BTW, Clinton inherited Iraq from Bush Sr. and he contained North Korea for 8 years.

In 1994 North Korea had a nuclear weapon program but no nuclear weapons. It had a missile program but no missiles.

Today it is estimated that North Korea now has a nuclear weapon program with several nukes and is now poised to produce 50 nuclear bombs a year. It is also estimated that the next milestone of North Korea's missile program is 1,200 miles.

From 1994-2002 it is estimated that more than 1M North Koreans starved to death.

Pardon me for interrupting your sanitized view of the world, but that's containment? LOL.

What matters now is solving the problems that exist and have grown worse over the past few years due to gross neglect of domestic concerns

LOL! You're a hypocrite. You're too willing to give Clinton credit for everything that went right during his presidency but not even willing to blame him for anything that went wrong no matter how tragic the results.

How can you solve any problem without understanding its root causes?

By the time Clinton assumed office in 1993, the Bush/Quayle administration had already finished cleaning up the S&L crisis that erupted in the late 80s. They most certainly didn't clean up that mess without looking into the root causes of the problem including the key point that there were just too many S&Ls with structural funding mismatches that forced them to chase very risky deals. The continuation of the bull market in the 90s wouldn't have been possible without the resolution of that mess.

The resolution of that mess allowed Clinton to inherit a global economy where the US, Japan and Germany were growing at 3%-4% rates.

By the time that Clinton left office in 2001, the US stock market had already peaked in March 2000 and the US economy -- which accounted for more than 60% of cumulative global GDP GROWTH from 1995-2002 -- was already entering a recession in 2001. All the chickens had come home to roost.

Notice the contrast?

In 1993 Clinton inherited a peaceful world and a reformed US economy that was poised to take advantage of the fact that the decisive end of the Cold War expanded the markets for everybody.

In 2003 Dubya inherited a scandal-ridden US economy that was staggering into recession and a Middle East that was poised to explode.

And you think all the problems started after Clinton left office? Are you that stupid? Do you know how many people are exposed to the financial markets and simply can't afford to engage in that kind of politics of the stupid!
