TP, what do you think of short term stimulus - only for this year - something on the order of those rebate checks we had before - maybe $ 500.00 per person, which would mostly get spent? I realize this would be short-term, but it might boost things a bit this year. Also - there was a good piece on Bill Moyer's NOW tonight. I think the fed govt. could also help the states with their deficits. Otherwise, states are set to make major cuts in a variety of social and health programs - which will put a further drag on the economy. t
