Well, we're all looking to do that, in every profession from advertising to law <g>: "We are looking for the most efficient means to kill the maximum number of enemy combatants with the least exposure to our forces."

...but that answer's a bit broad, because one could say, "use an FAE in place of the 87." My question was more specific. The 87 is intended as a wide coverage, contact munition when dropped, and does a fine job at that moment. Unfortunately, after that, it still lives as an indiscriminant victim-activated weapon years later. The 87 is not our only inventory item that can accomplish area denial.

Nice day to read the Thread . Seems to me people have been taking their smart pills, beginning to get some sense of direction that the US must or will take, and the reasons therefore.
Am undecided whether OBL is still around, although that last tape seemed typical of what he would say.
Its not all that important whether he is or not, we still have to worry about the lesser ones, and his money flow has to be hurting so if hes planning a big hit it will take longer to empower it.
The idea of encouraging terrorists to attack outside the US at much more concentrated positions means we can be prepared and ready for them and it would not hurt or threaten our economy so much. Can we arm our embassies? Perhaps provide a luxury suite for local religious leaders so any attack would be condemned by the country involved. Sounds good to me..
And world peace will not strike anytime soon so the war on Terrorists will continue and planners in the US will be very busy and doing their best to design temptations to draw them into a trap or ambush. Let them think they have have a new route for funding and then zap it and pick up the people on both ends.
The general idea is to get the enemy moving around out in the open away from their hidy holes, and also find out where other Nations honestly stand on US policies so that some corrective action can be taken to cool things down and work in the direction of having fewer threats like the WMD's

Great to see so many people on the streets in Baghdad, noisy and talking as they were not able to do for
30 years. What day is this? Perhaps the 5 th day they could wake up to a new dawn and realise that Saddam and his terror are gone.. That smell freedom is somehing awesome. .
