My ex Mobil exec friend said it was possible to replace every oil-burning furnace with hydrogen once we get over a few technological hurdles.

A few technological hurdles, LOL! Are you aware that it takes vast quantities of energy to create hydrogen? Where do you think that energy comes from? And who's going to "get over" those few technological hurdles? Those evil rich corporations? Or maybe witching sticks and voodoo?

BTW, you keep using the royal "We". Are you the Queen of England or something??

You seemed to imply that we could do it now, but Bush was dragging his feet. "a few technological hurdles" can mean a LONG TIME before it is economically viable.
