Very well put, Coug. Most people don't believe in the tactics of the suits, but they are very susceptible to them. Just about everything you see and hear from political figures in the US has been processed, studied, pre-tested with focus groups and polled down to the last millimeter. You, the voter, may think you are debating ideas but you are mostly responding to sophisticated marketing campaigns. That's why we re-elect our Congressmen like clockwork. The talk show hosts just piggyback on the marketing trend that the political sharpshooters help to channel. For them, pretending to be politically passionate puts dollars in their pockets in talk show syndication rights. In short, most of what we see and hear is total BS. And most Americans were raised to be good-natured and trusting and just don't realize it. Money and power make Washington tick, they always have. Ideals are secondary.
