It is looking increasingly odd that they have found
zero WMD. We were told that this was the primary reason
that the US was going in. That we would not allow a
country like Iraq to have these weapons, and threaten us.

Now - they have found none - and the reasons have changed
to helping liberate the Iraqi people. What happens once
the Iraqi people start asking us to leave? What reason
can we give then for occupying a country where they don't
want us? Will be interesting...

With the exception of Truman (*which was the last time we had a fully GOP controlled house & senate after WWII) we see that the GOP holds all records for the longest streaks of lost jobs.

1970-1971: 13 months (NIXON)
1954-1955: 14 months (EISENHOWER)
1974-1975: 14 months (FORD)
1949-1950: 15 months (TRUMAN)*
1957-1958: 15 months (EISENHOWER)
1982-1983: 17 months (REAGAN)
1990-1992: 17 months (BUSH)
2001-2003: 23 months and counting...(BUSH)

..gee, I wonder which party handles the economy better?
