Strategically, Israel is a better ally for Iran than US. But realization of such strategy requires such a huge shift in internal Iranian politics which I do not foresee anytime soon. I don't see what could be of interest with Turkey beyond simple peaceful coexistence. I am tempted to say Iran has used Palestinian issue to gain influence in Arab streets, but that would be an over simplification. Given the choice between Palistinians and Lebanonese, Iran would side with the latter. For now the two have common enemy, so the division is not obvious. The other difficulty is that there are those in the regime who do have genuine concerns for the Arabs because of religious bonds, but it is hard to quantify their effect...either way, a reformist victory out of this stalemate will solve the issues especially if Israel asks for Iran's help with the Lebanon issue.
