Iraq is just one place in the world which is basically stuck somewhere in the 13th century, and will only evolve internally (external factors only minimal) over a long, long time. After all, we are talking about a part of the world in which woman basically have little/no rights- more than 1/2 the population. Where anyone with a majority will basically run roughshot over the rest of the population in everyway. Where, after more than a decade of freedom due to the US, Kuwaiti polled are 9-to-1 against the US (thanks a lot guys- a lot of gratitude there). We saved their country, and look at how they view us. Pretty foolish to expect Iraquis would be any more grateful for our efforts.
