Sorry to be the bearer of good news, but parts of the US economy are improving.

The economy is going from very lousy to just lousy.

It ain't 1999 again, but it's getting better in some sectors.

I will venture an opinion on SARS - I think that in about 10 days, Hong Kong will have new cases down to less than 10 per day, and deaths less than 3.

Canada will also show a lot of progress, with quarantines starting to end.

China will still be a problem - and a big issue for HK, since visitors may keep bringing SARS into HK.

Next question is when will the economic damage stop - next week or next month ?

I don't have a guess for that.

Please, everyone, don't kick me out of the gloom and doom club !

Glad to see you're still here posting. So far, the SARS thing is not a big deal here in the U.S. The joke is that our version is MARS (Mild Acute Respiratory Syndrome).
