The tactic of answering with lengthy posts and longer assumptions does not make one more knowledgeable. Anyway, I take it you don't think Saddam was a huge threat to his own people. I also take it you think that he was no threat to Kuwait or Jordan. Now take away the US presence and enforcement of the "No-Fly" zones. Do you still have the same opinion? Do you honestly believe that Saddam left alone would not have tried to get WMD, assuming he had none now, in 5 or 10 years? Have you honestly studied any of his biographies?
