What a wonderful post! I could have written that (though it wouldn't have been as articulate!), as it's pretty much what I've been facing too. I've got a psychological "thing" about going below a certain weight which, for the purpose of this post is oh, say 115. LOL. Every time I get there and think "okay, on to the next five pound loss.", I start misbehaving again.
And I laughed when I read about rejiggering the scale. My scale can vary as much as five pounds depending on whether I lean to the right or left, or even think 'thin'.

One thing that I find terribly unfair about being over 39 is how much it takes to lose weight. Your exercise routine is the embodiment of devotion. If life were fair, you'd be able to play the xylophone on your ribs after doing that for six months. :-)
