They do.. they pay state, local, school, sales...

Let's face it... at some level, [currently 15k?] it makes no sense, it's just a waste of paper and work.

Well, it's all opinion and numbers, certainly anyone would agree that there is a number where the fed taxes are zero, just save the people all that time to file, and show deductions and all that madness to pay zero anyway.

I know there are some that claim people want to be "included", and "pay their own way"... but for the people I know [I do lots of stuff with kids groups] they have PLENTY of self esteem and certainly welcome such a move. If one felt strongly, lower that rate to 5% or somthing... I'm flexible!
