Re read my other posts over the last 3 years if you want the background and reasons. I know of Buffett's views very well. Warren is as brilliant and honest as they come, but on this issue, he is just wrong. It happens some time.

DO NOT CONFUSE DISCLOSURE AND CONTROL OF COMPENSATION AGREEMENTS WITH their financial and tax effect. I have studied this problem years before you knew it was a problem.

No one condones executive dipping into the honey pot. But yes, most of the commentary on this subject is, for want of a better word, stupid.

If you don't like that word you can use ill-advised, not circumspective, not founded in tax theory,

but the word "stupid" seems to encapsulate yours and other ill founded opinions nicely.
