Clinton handed a larger deficit onto Bush than the one he
inherited. It's not like Bush is the only President to run
a deficit. He did however inherit a recession, a stock
market bubble in collapse.

And worst of all he inherited a growing terrorist menace
that Clinton helped make worse. That led to the worst
terrorist attack in history.

The economic fallout of that is unprecedented, not to
mention the costs of cleaning up the terrorist menace.

And what was Clinton's excuse for passing along a larger
deficit?
