When a person makes remarks that are prejudice and bigoted then I have to believe that that person is prejudiced and
bigoted.

I agree.

Let's go back to your original remark. You wrote: "Bush is a fundamentalist Christian and we all know how they feel about gays..........it ain't pretty!!"

IMO, that is steretypical and prejudiced. It made the charge that all fundamentalist Christians think the same way, which is no different than saying all jews, or blacks, or hispanics think the same way.

So I considered your remark to be evidence of prejudice. I do understand that people on SI are writing quickly and sometimes casually, without careful thought about the nature and consequences of what they are saying. I have done that myself. Perhaps that's what you did. If so, perhaps you will find it appropriate to withdraw or recast the remark now that you have had a chance to contemplate its nature so that it does not assume that because a person belongs to a given group therefore they must necessarily have certain opinions.
