That guy was very critical of the war plan in the first week of war. That was one of the few voices of dissent that actually worried me. Has he publicly admitted he was wrong yet?

LB, you may want to pick up a copy of Robin Moore's "The Hunt for Bin Laden", which details the activities of our Special Forces units in Afghanistan. I suspect that our experience in Afghanistan served as the template for some of our activities in Iraq. The book is poorly written and a bit over the top in places, but it is very instructive. Interestingly enough, Moore and many of the Special Ops guys that he talked to were very critical, more accurately contemptuous, of Tommy Franks.
