hannity was just on with a clinton econ adivsor... said "it isn't fair 10% pay 68% of taxes." the clinton econ advisor could have quickly said, "yes, but that 10% own 68% (likely more) of america, so what isn't fair about them paying an equal percentage in taxes?"

come on, the guy is smart... he worked for the presidency... he had his time. he had his opportunity. all he could do was fumble around and say he didn't support taking away prior tax cuts on those making $92k a year while impersonating his best "deer in the headlights" routine.

IT IS PATHETIC!

ben, i think too many folks do what bill maher said they shouldn't do - work back from "i hate bush" and find as much negative stuff to plaster onto bush. of course iraq is better off now. just ask THEM! THEY will tell you.

even the folks who want the US out are glad we did what we did. not b/c they are worse off, either.

i agree the future isn't clear and it might not be as grand as some will say. it might even be pretty shady, from our perspective. but they have HOPE now, and that ALONE makes 23 million lives BETTER. don't kid yourself there.

ben, wake me up when we extract $60 billion from iraq when they only produce $20 billion a year in oil. i don't see it happening. imho, it sounds like, "i hate bush" so what ulterior motive can i paste on him to make him as bad as possible - caring nothing for the slime if not true. why accuse bush of putting a ceiling on iraq's oil and make bush out to be the oil DEVIL when their is NO EVIDENCE he will do such a thing?

frankly, your numbers don't ring true to me. not even close. you ASSUME massive and long term US price fixing w/o a lick of evidence. MASSIVE! you ASSUME iraq won't be a part of opec. you ASSUME a lot, all consistent with the "i hate bush" point of view. coincidence, ben? random chance?

where are all the folks who b*ed about the priceless treasures being looted like it was the end of the civilized world when we are finding and returning many of these pricelsees treasures? NOT A PEEP! NO CREDIT! doesn't fit their "i hate bush" paradigm, imho. nothingmore than that and, if true, that is sad.

i will be around for you to rub my nose in an "i told ya so" if bush turns out to be what you ASSUME he will be. but if not, be sure to stick around and apologize for being so negative.

this criticism doesn't come from a bush fan, either. i dislike the guy for many reasons (tired, worn out, bankrupt economic policies for one), just as i dislike every other politician out there.

but i'm not going to create what isn't there. if i did that, i'd be a terrible engineer. show me EVIDENCE, though, and i'm a pit bull on the side of the EVIDENCE.
