DELL buying SUNW? LOL. That would be the most obvious short since I've been trading. DELL would have no clue what to do with a SUNW.

DELL needs to sell service. They have really wired the selling of gear, but it will always be a marginal business model.

DELL does not need to buy a product line. DELL would be better suited to buy a company they can afford that does services. Hell, DELL would be better off buying EDS. -g/ng On the EDS web site the biggest text you see today is "Leading The Way In Product Lifecycle Management" -- a natural fit for a seller of commodities.

DELL knows there is no future in commodity computers. The computers, even at the server level nowadays, are nearly lost-leaders.
