Most of the "thinking" Syracuse fan base believes that the Big 10 would not be as good a fit for SU. Mainly because of the fact that most all the Big 10 schools are large state universities while Syracuse is a small to medium sized private institution. The money for athletics would be limited for SU compared to the state funded colleges. Northwestern might be an example of the result?;)

The ACC on the other hand has smaller state universities mixed in with some private schools. We also have a good lacrosse program and I don't think that anyone in the Big 10 has ever heard of that sport?

I'd really like to see a northeast oriented conference...PSU..Pitt..UConn..BC..WVU..VT..Syr...Navy (with Roger Staubach and Joe Bellino)..Army (with Blanchard and Davis)..Maryland..(no chance)<g>
