Mr. Mom,

How was your weekend?

I don't know about anyone else here but mine was certainly
better than yours.

I'm pretty sure you win The Suckiest Weekend Award.

Polvo is probably working on a prize or something.

I've had two trips to the ER in the past few months. Once
with the baby as the patient, the other with wifey being
worked on. I have an idea how much it sucked for you. I'm
glad you made it through it with everyone alright.

Back in my college days I had Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome
but it usually involved drinking a gallon of the party
punch made with grain alcohol and then having my friends
spin me around in a swivel chair as fast as they could get
me going.

I can't imagine how scarey it must have been waiting to get
word from the family. Glad they are alright.

You must be exhausted. That's truly a nightmare.
How's your wife now? And have you reached her family in Missouri? I saw reports on CNN. How frightening.

I'd been feeling sorry for myself that my 16 year old daughter had a late party and that we practically had to threaten kids to leave at gunpoint, but....ummmmm, I think I've gotten a little perspective on it now.

There are times when you are hit by the fates to the point of being "punch drunk". Initially, you brazenly fhink "This can't git any worse." Such bravado melts after several more blows. Left with only a mumbled "Next", you are surprised only when they stop. The consolation to offer is "you've already had more than you "fair share". Now's time for a little "good luck".

All the best.

Other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

Whew. Glad things worked out pretty ok in the long run.
I sure hear you about the ER; it hurts when I stop billing to look at the prices I am charging for what we do.I sure miss the VA.
