Pigs are very economical. They eat almost anything.

I have a hard time believing in the wisdom of prohibiting pork because the Chinese eat pork, and I have much respect for the wisdom of the Chinese.

I was trying to point at how Muslim & Jews did not eat pork, because, apparently, it was raised in filthy conditions (i.e. "rolling in its own excrement"), and its meat went bad quickly in the desert heat. These are no longer true. Still, these two groups do not eat pork.

So we are still waiting for religion to catch up with history...

Re Christians - I would be interested to read about this (Christians not eating pork and then starting to eat after Muslim attacks). Got link?
