You really think that the Dems want a repeat of Dukakis in 1988? or McGovern in 1972? I think that your examples are just helping to prove that Dean will get the nomination. The Dems who vote in the primary are likely to pick a far left candidate. This is almost always the case when we have a Republican incumbent President. The only exception was Bill Clinton.
