RE:“The cost was puny anyway. Early Democratic salvos complained that the photo-op cost at least $100,000,

That's probably about the same as Clinton's haircut on Air Force One cost the taxpayers.

<<The "Suicide of the Left" continues...>>
Cy: The liberals are running scared. Daily they fall further behind the conservatives. We find Mr. Senility, Senator Robert Byrd, performing his histrionics on the Senate floor. I think he has reverted to his younger years when he was a big wheel in the Klu Klux Klan. And Waxman. A joke by himself. The question how much Presidents Bush's trip to the Abraham Lincoln cost is priceless in the boost in morale of the fighters returning from Iraq and to those still there and around the world. Bush is loved by the military, unlike the Fat Kid, Clinton, who was universally abhorred by them. Also the cost of the trip was considerably less than the cost of impeachment of the perjurer president clinton.

Every so often you come across evidence that a political party is losing its mind. Something like that is happening to Democrats over President Bush’s fabulous ‘top gun’ photo-op aboard the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. It’s a case study in how Bush and Karl Rove have left so many Democrats undone.

That says it all doesnt it? I have YET to meet one ordinary American who wasnt PROUD AS HELL to see HIS PRESIDENT strutting around that aircraft carrier with all the sailors and airmen cheering. He's the Commander in Chief and he was EXACTLY where he belonged that day. jdn
