What was wrong was that W is pres not a top gun pilot. He wore military a flight suit which sends an awful image. The founding fathers were careful to have a civilian as commander and chief and W is doing his best to try to blur that distinction. Remember all the dictators who have tried to rule by coopting the military and you may get a hint of why so many are upset. Considering W's military past it was particularly appalling. Hell he made Dukakis look sincere in his tank pose.
