I'm glad to hear you're recovering.

About the head stand, it should ALWAYS be followed by the child's pose, that way you'll avoid the black out.

It took me a very long time, over a year, before I could do the headstand.

I have just returned from a yoga session myself and in the last few moments have booked a week at a yoga Ashram in upstate NY for later this summer. Om om.
