Fast Eddie,

Your reducto ad absurdum notwithstanding, it is perfectly apparent that the imperial American military is on the prowl and looking to pick as many fights as possible. I only posit the Saudi scenario, because that is the biggest prize on the planet, short of stealing the entire country of Russia with its incomparable natural resources.

I don't know if you've seen this one:
nwc.navy.mil

It seems completely far-fetched that the U.S. Naval War College would place an article in Esquire, of all places, but then that is about as far fetched as having a military college publish a novel about derring-do in the middle of the 1980's by a character with a questionable C.V. who then went on to great commercial success publishing multiple best-sellers consisting of nothing but propaganda for the military-industrial complex. I speak of Tom Clancy, of course. One of the most loved creations of the C.I.A. and DoD of the last 50 years.

Get the map into Esquire as a recruiting tool for more derring-do type 17 year olds to seduce them into becoming zombie blitzkriegers? Great idea says the Department of Death!

Does the military imperium have its lustful gaze aimed at the sweet oleaginous underbelly of the House of Saud? How else are we going to run the military machine of the late 21st Century? We need that oil, we deserve that oil. That oil is our Manifest Destiny!
