Yeah,even when they get 'fired', the typical 'employment agreement' for many of these CEO's seems to provide 'three years pay' as a starting cushion. That was what I read in IBM's proxy for Lou Gerstner when he was still around, and in several other corp proxies. As you say, these guys can't lose whichever way it goes for them....

PS - and have you read in recent articles what some employment contracts define as a 'terminable offense'??? In some cases the CEO has to commit a felony (I suppose not all that uncommon these days <ggg>) before he can be terminated for cause...
