The UN is a joke. People in charge of human rights
commission in the UN are countries like Cuba, Iraq under
Saddam. I don't understand why our tax dollars should go to
support the bloated UN bureaucracy. I say get rid of the UN
and convert those UN headquarters into condos. This war proved the irrelevance of the UN.

I answered your question -- the role of the UN is to provide legitimacy and to play the role of peacekeeper. We do not have either capacity, and worse, we are sitting ducks.
