Ah, the friends of Nadine gather again.

Not necessarily of Nadine, but of right-thinking people everywhere. Regardless of political bent.

Don't despair, John, the race is not over. There is still time for Bush & Co. to make mistakes. So far, however, you are swimming against the tide.

How about those Saudi freedom fighters? A welcome for Powell or action before they got caught? The reports suggest that either or both interpretations could be true.

If a welcome for Powell, why welcome him with bombs and death as he works on the Palestinian problem? Seems counter-productive but the calculus of terror has so far eluded me.

Do you see any legitimate political objective on their part? Seems unlikely to me. If their ultimate complaints are directed to Saudi royals, why not target them instead of Westerners? I suppose they don't want their funding to dry up precipitously, though it has surely been cut off to some degree.
