orkrious, i am not sure the point is what the prisoners should have thought of, but, rather, if/when you cut food in prison, then what...what do you cut AFTER THAT...and how much savings will this add up to in the scheme of things...i think someone a few months ago linked something that one state was considering letting some better behaved prisoners leave early...to save $$$...the budgets must be in horrible shape to be thinking this...
mind you if things continue, perhaps there will be real deep cuts in places we don't expect...perhaps education will go back to basic subjects, the stuff like drama, art, music might be kaput...
