Takers are the countries where there are economic activities but no capital, which I always keep writing about here: See the takers: A cheap dollar increase the terms of trade of exporting countries. Less money to pay as royalties we pay for license US-produced technologies. A Thai exporter of Tiger Shrimp to the US gets more Thai Baht for their crustraceans. A bag of Robusta or Arabica fetches more Real when exported to strong Euro Europe. Europeans don't even notice since coffee price is now very low. A new public transport system it is too expensive to build in Bangkok, Sao Paulo, Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw or Curitiba. A cheap USD make this project feasible since they can buy cheap US made rolling stock. Only 10% of the Brazilians spend above USD800/month. Foreign stuff being cheap they start affording it. Volume shots up and unit prices comes down. Those ancient planes we brave flying all over the devloping world -some of them you expect the numbers of the seats to be wrtten in Roman numbers and the "Fasten the Seat Belts" to be written in Latin. Get a few -now cheap- Boeings presently parked in the Mojave desert and replace the ancient planes. The Nu Skin cosmetics my wife sells in Brazil gets cheap and her sales volume increases. Bottles of Jack Daniels get cheap (Now already dropped to1,400 Thai Baht or 33.26443 US Dollar at Ad Makers -coke ice is free) and I think the bar is not passing the price drop to us but is cashing on it. Need to check the price in the supermarket though. A jet engine is now cheaper to put in a commuter jet and export Embraer planes (priced in USD). If we finished Dornier and Fokker we can even make life even harder to Bombardier if the Lonies doesn't drop agains the USD. The market is there. So far it hasn't had the purchasing power. The only bad news: Brazilian kids invading Disneyworld in the Summer.
